Prosser Public Library offers a free film series for adults on selected Friday afternoons. First run, award winning, independent films are shown. See outstanding movies not usually shown in area theaters. The film begins at 1:30 pm in the Community Room. Enjoy refreshments and casual conversation after the movie. February’s film is
A Screaming Man. Filmed in Chad in French and Arabic, and directed by Mahamat-Saleh Haroun, today’s film won in the Best Actor and Best Screenplay categories at the Chicago International Film Festival. Adam, a former swimming champion in his sixties, is a pool attendant at a hotel. New owners force him out of his job and put his son in his place. Adam is humiliated and resentful. Chad is in the throes of civil war, complicating the situation.
