All readers are invited to participate in one or more of the lively and thoughtful book discussions at Prosser Public Library. Copies of each title are provided to participants, in regular, large print, and audio (if available). Please register so we may obtain enough copies for all readers. The book to be discussed in January is The Tender Bar, a memoir by J. R. Moehringer (2005)
In a memoir of growing up with a single mother, the author describes how he received valuable life lessons and friendship from an assortment of characters at the neighborhood bar, and how they provided him with a kind of fatherhood by committee.
