Capital Area Substance Abuse Council Holds 18th Annual Meeting
Each year, CASAC recognizes individuals who have contributed their time and talent to reducing the abuse of alcohol, tobacco, other drugs and other risky behaviors in their towns. Three Bloomfield residents received volunteer awards from CASAC.

Chamber member's photograph featured in ITowns

Chamber member Dennis Hubbs, co-owner of D&D Travel, recently had one of his autumn photographs selected for the cover of the Hartford Courant's weekly ITowns section. The picture, which appeared in the Sunday, November 2nd edition, is of the pond at Gouveia Vineyards and Winery on Whirlwind Hill in Wallingford, CT, taken this past October.

Bloomfield Health Care Center & BCC Host Event for Health Care Professionals

On December 4th, the BCC and Bloomfield Health Care Center will host a special breakfast for health care professionals in the Bloomfield, Hartford, Windsor communities.

In addition to breakfast, guests will enjoy door prizes and a presentation from guest speaker, Dr. Paul Bluestein, Chief Medical Director, Connecticare. [Learn more]

Bloomfield Chamber Hosts Holiday Turkey Drive

November 3 through November 19, BCC will be accepting monetary and frozen turkey donations for the Thanksgiving season. All proceeds will be donated to Foodshare.

Drop off hours: M & F: 10a -1p; T, W & Th: 10a-3p.

November is National Family Caregivers Month
