Capitol Region F.C.U. Offers New Student Loan Program
Capitol Region is participating in a new student loan program initiated by Governor Rell and the CT Credit Union League as an option for financing higher education and vocational training for people who have either exhausted or do not qualify for other educational loans. Maximum amount is $15,000. For details, call the Loan Manager, 860-513-4024 x212. Federal Educational Loans for students and parents are also offered.

Capitol Region provides a complete selection of financial products and services. Bloomfield Chamber members and their employees are invited to join at Capitol Region's 1 Wintonbury Mall, Bloomfield office. There are no membership dues or fees.
Duncaster & BCC Host 2009 Legislative Breakfast
State and local officials addressed an overflow crowd as Duncaster hosted the Bloomfield Chamber's Legislative Breakfast on February 6. Speaking to a crowd of over 50 business and community leaders were Susan Bysiewicz, Secretary of State, Sydney Schulman, Mayor of Bloomfield, and two members of the Bloomfield Town Council, Joan Gamble and Robert Berman. Adding the Duncaster perspective was Lou Desario, Director of Facilities at Duncaster.

The panelists held discussions about the Governor's budget, upcoming legislative initiatives, energy conservation, updates on the town of Bloomfield and local taxes.
